Increasingly businesses today need to demonstrate sound business management including concern for the environment. An environmental management system (EMS) provides the framework for meeting these challenges and adds value to your operations and business. The International Standards ISO14001 is used as a model for implementing an EMS.
ISO14001 is a flexible standard and is applicable to businesses of any size. Using this practical tool will help your business examine the areas where your business has an environmental impact.
The systematic approach of ISO14001 may lead to business benefits including reduced costs and savings in consumption of energy and materials as well as improving your business image with customers, suppliers and the general public.
