1              Overview

Does your organisation issue offer documents on timber plantation managed investment schemes to potential investors?

If yes, did you know that Australian Forest Growers (AFG) has developed and implemented a code of practice, called Disclosure Code for Afforestation Managed Investment Schemes (MIS)?

Organisations like Global-Mark are independent and can be engaged by any timber plantation MIS firm to review and assess compliance with the AFG Disclosure Code.

More information please refer to the AFG web site: http://www.afg.asn.au/

2              Specific program conditions

The Disclosure Code for Afforestation Managed Investment Schemes is a voluntary, independent, third-party certification program, operated by Australian Forest Growers.

The aim of this certification program is to give potential investors of forestry investment schemes confidence that the offer documents are in accordance with the defined standards in the Code.

The Code requires companies to demonstrate that they have satisfied a series of guidelines as to disclosure in their offer documents.

The Code is voluntary and is implemented by companies that choose to become signatories to it.

Organisations that are successfully certified to Australian Forest Growers Disclosure Code by Global-Mark receive a Code Compliance Number and sign an agreement to abide by the rules governing the use of the Compliance Logo.
