The new AQTF Standards show a very different approach to previous Management Standards, with a range of diverse outcomes expected and new innovations. The concept of ‘Outcomes Auditing” is a new ideal and needs to be understood before internal auditing and system improvement can be carried out.
The course focuses on several areas:
- Defining and learning about the AQTF 2007 Standards, providing a through understanding of the Standards and what they mean to your RTO. The relationship and benefit of the AQTF Standard to ISO 9001 is also highlighted.
- Understanding and developing the Risk Management aspect of the Standard so that the Organisation may develop its own Risk Plan, thus minimizing the probability and duration of audits by the State registration bodies.
- Understanding the concept of ‘Outcomes Auditing” and how your RTO may look at developing clear process outcomes and linking this to your audit systems.
- Provides a hands – on course to demonstrate the practical methods of auditing.
- Gives a variety of useable and practical methods for RTOs to improve and benefit from these tasks. This innovative course is packed with ideas, new concepts and methodology which can be applied to YOUR business, YOUR RTO, to drive system improvement, profitability and to lower risk.
At the end of the course you will have a good understanding of:
· The AQTF 2007 RTO Standards and the ISO 9001 Standards – and the wisdom and benefit of combining these two.
· How to manage the Risk Measurement process by which the duration and severity of Departmental audits is decided. How to use this information to lower your risk and hence may expect to lower the duration and frequency of external audits.
· ‘Outcomes Auditing’ – how these techniques can be used to refine the audit process.
· A full understanding of the Internal Audit process – why we do it, what we can and should expect from it, how Management can use it for effective governance, how we can use its results for business improvement and how we can audit effectively and without stress or conflict.
· Process improvement methods available to improve the business and to fully utilize the business outcomes.
· The Excellence Program – what it is, why it is beneficial.
