Diploma of Quality Auditing

This course introduces and provides hands on experience on how to perform and evaluate a comprehensive management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011, the concepts of continuous improvement and quality in project management. Role-plays and discussions are used during the course to consolidate the student’s ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.

Target Audience: Participants who presently work in the quality field who wish to elevate their skills or those wishing to work in the quality field including System Managers, Coordinators and Internal Auditors.

Course Pre-requisite: 6 months working experience with a Management System or completion of Understanding Management Systems Based on ISO 9001 or equivalent

Duration: The course delivery consists of 7 days of face-to-face classroom based work, as well as external assignments. Global-Mark recommends students take 12-24 months to complete the diploma qualification. The program can be complete sooner depending on experience and recognition of prior learning (RPL). The maximum duration is 24 months.

Lead Auditor Courses

This course covers how to perform a comprehensive management systems audit in accordance with ISO 19011, both as a member of an audit team or as an audit team leader. It is nationally and internationally recognised comprising Exemplar Global competencies and nationally recognised training units. Upon successful completion, you can apply for provisional auditor status under the Exemplar Global certification scheme.

Target Audience: Participants who wish to become an internal or external auditor, either as part of an audit team or as an audit team leader.

Course Pre-requisite: If enrolling for Lead Auditor WHS or EMS you must already have completed Understanding Management Systems Based on ISO 9001 or equivalent

Duration: The course delivery consists of 4 to 6 days, depending on the number of electives chosen, face-to-face classroom based work, as well as external assignments, which students have 12 months to submit for assessment

This course introduces the history and background of management systems based on ISO 9001. it also covers the key principles, definitions and requirements of the management system philosophy. The course gives guidance on structure, documentation and tools for continuous improvement.

Understanding Workplace Health & Safety Management Systems

This course is designed to assist managers (including those without a background in WHS) develop good WHS management practice using a systems approach. Auditing Skills

This innovative and entertaining course introduces and provides hands on experience in auditing of management systems based on all standards. It explains the benefits and improved business performance that can be achieved from effective auditing. Using practical exercises covering all aspects of auditing, this course equips participants with the skills and confidence to successfully conduct internal audits and manage internal audit programs

Target Audience: System Managers and Coordinators

Audit Team Leader

This course covers the roles and responsibilities of an Audit Team Leader and involves numerous role-plays and conducting audits in the workplace. On completion the participant will understand the issues with leading audits, managing a team and presenting the team’s agreed conclusions.

Target Audience: System Managers and Coordinators, Internal Auditors

Course Pre-requisite: Auditing Skills course, plus one Understanding Management Systems (QM/EM/OH)

Duration: One day, face-to-face classroom based work, plus external assignments, which students have 12 months to submit for assessment.

Facilitating Continuous Improvement

This course introduces the concepts of continuous improvement. The course covers strategies for managing improvement, methodologies for improvement including a practical understanding of variation, hands on application of the main improvement tools and useful guidance on implementing improvement programs. The course includes many practical applications.

Target Audience: Participants who wish to manage and participate in improvement activities.

Course Pre-requisite: 6 months working experience with a Management System or completion of Understanding Management Systems Based on ISO 9001 or equivalent

Duration: Two days, face-to-face classroom based work plus external assignments, which students have 12 months to submit for assessment.

Manage Project Quality

This course introduces quality in ‘projects’, focusing on quality, timeliness and costs. The course covers basic project management, the determination of quality requirements, planning for quality through Management Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, implementing quality processes through inspections and audit programs, monitoring project quality and managing improvement in projects.

Target Audience: Participants who wish to implement quality in projects or audit projects against tender or project requirements

Course Pre-requisite: 6 months working experience with a Management System or completion of Understanding Management Systems Based in ISO 9001 or equivalent

Duration: Two days, face-to-face classroom based work, plus external assignments, which students have 12 months to submit for assessment.

ISO 9001:2015 Update

This course will help you understand why and who makes the changes to this Standard. You will also compare the existing ISO 9001:2008 quality management system standard to the new version and its impact on your certified ISO 9001 system. Implementation timetables are also presented.

ISO 14001:2015 Update

Understanding Risk Management

This course covers the principles, framework and processes of Risk Management and is based on the international AS/NZS ISO 31000. On completion of the course, participant will understand how to implement a risk management system across all management systems and put it into practice. Participants will be able to identify, qualify, analyse and control hazards and risk.

Understanding Product Certification

This course presents the fundamental principles of product certification. The course covers the framework as defined by ISO, the roles of key parties, compliance requirements, sampling and testing (routine, batch and type). The course is not specific to one standard scheme or type of product, but applies to all and we will cover how these apply to each scheme. This is an interactive workshop and participant questions will help build the course on the day.
