1. Overview
In today's corporate world it expected that management will use Risk Management tools to assist and guide a firm. It is no longer sufficient to manage without formal risk assessments.
Management need to prioritise activities so that what is important takes precedence over what is not so important.
Have you considered in a structured process:
- The events/hazards that may impact on what is important to your business, people or clients
- The likelihood of these events
- The extent of impact of such events
- What actions can be taken to prevent such events
- Or what can be done to minimize or control such events should they occur.
Most modern compliance programs require a Risk Management process.
Having identified risks with a sound process, management is expected to control the risks.
Our course covers the framework of the ISO31000 Risk Management standard, one of the first national standards developed to address Risk Management.
You will get to understand, learn and practice with regards to:
- Defining the context
- Identification of hazards
- Qualification and quantification of risks
- Analysis of risks
- Management and control (treatment of risks)
2. Objectives
On completion of the workshop participants will understand :
- The principles and techniques of Risk Management and the ISO31000 framework
- How Risk Management systems can be implemented and put into practice
- How Risk Management supports the decision making process
