Specifically, RCR MT designs and manufactures bespoke products for relocatable and modular crushing, conveying, screening and scrubbing plants, with equipment including apron and belt feeders, conveyors, stackers, spreaders, fully track-mounted in-pit mining units, scrubbers and screeners. RCR MT offers services in turnkey product delivery, heavy fabrication and manufacturing, specialised remote and site based services including OEM product and spare part support, plant remediation, surface treatment, belt and lining, hydraulic systems, heat treatment, and OSR (Off Site Repair) programs.

2. Can you please provide some top-level information about your organisation, such as size, number of staff, office locations or similar?

RCR MT employs approximately 380 highly skilled personnel across Design, Manufacture, Construction, Commissioning and Product Support disciplines. We are a proud West Australian company based in Bunbury and Welshpool who has been in operation since 1979 with clients widespread throughout Australia and the world.

3.  Why did you go through certification?

RCR MT competes in a marketplace where being certified is a necessity; if you’re not, you simply won’t make the grade when bidding on jobs. Importantly too, we know our management systems align with those of our clients as well as those of our contractors and subcontractors, making tendering and operational processes mutually streamlined and efficient right from the start.

Compliance to ISO standards is not new to us – we have consistently maintained our accreditations in Quality for 28 years, Work Health and Safety for 13 years and Environment for 6 years; proving our commitment to excellence in these spheres as we are in everything we do.

4. How did you find the process with Global-Mark?

RCR MT has worked with Global-Mark since 2016. Global-Mark assessors have been supportive and their ongoing advice and audits have kept us on track with maintaining robust, effective and efficient systems of management.

5. What is your outcome e.g. are you happy with the outcome?

Because of RCR MT’s size, multi-faceted nature and its interrelated processes, having management systems to govern the way we operate is critical to our success. With Global-Mark’s audits and guidance we continue to achieve our business objectives and maintain our excellent reputation.

6. Are there any other business benefits you experienced as a result of becoming certified?

An invaluable adjunct of ISO certification has been the building of a highly organised culture with a focus on streamlining processes and more closely engaging with our wonderful people and clients to make RCR safer, faster and better into the future. Sustainability is central to our business and achieving highest standards of business management means we can remain viable long term and therefore provide secure employment into the future.
