1. Tell me about your company – what industry you are in and what does your business do?

Sheldon are trusted experts and responsive partners, who design and build happy workplaces that optimize wellbeing and business success. Keeping all our divisions in-house, from design, to manufacturing, construction, and electrical, we offer a full turnkey solution to our clients’ office needs.

2. Can you please provide some top-level information about your organisation, such as size, number of staff, office locations or similar?

Sheldon was founded in 1990 and has since grown to a team of 75+ employees across a range of divisions. Sheldon has offices in North Sydney and Canberra, and our manufacturing facility (Sheldon Manufacturing) is located in Somersby. Our team has created hundreds of offices across Australia.

3. Why did you go through certification?

Sheldon wanted to build robust procedures into our activities while monitoring the performance of the business. The framework of the ISO requirements helped us plan change, manage risk, and find efficiencies the company’s operations.

4. How did you find the process with Global-Mark?

Global-Mark have been a fantastic support for Sheldon over the years. It has been an enormous task in digitalising our system and the team at Global-Mark have embraced the creative ways in how we meet our ISO requirements. Its not easy to move a conventional paper-based system into a digital platform and maintain an alignment to three standards of ISO requirements.

5. How did you find the process with Global-Mark?

We are celebrating our efforts with zero nonconformances raised from our recent recertification audit. This achievement is the result of a committed team using a robust and user-friendly system. The system only works when it is followed, and our staff feel confident having a system that supports their roles.

6. Are there any other business benefits you experienced as a result of becoming certified?

Incidents have reduced. Better collaboration in teams. Top Management have vision across the business with access to more information. High Risk activities are undertaken with confidence. Defined processes and workflows support roles and responsibilities. Happier workers in productive environments. Transparency with clients creating positive experiences.
