Vision Eye Institute is Australia’s largest private ophthalmology provider and the operator of multiple day surgeries through its Vision Hospital Group brand.

Our organisation is committed to delivering world-class healthcare. Every year, we see more patients and perform more eye surgeries through our clinics and day surgeries than any other ophthalmic group in the country. Our dedicated doctors and support staff combine years of clinical expertise and an extensive research and teaching program to ensure patients receive best-practice care.

We have 130 doctors and 550 support personnel spread across 20 Vision Eye Institute ophthalmic clinics and 10 Vision Hospital Group day surgeries in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia. Some of our clinics and day surgeries are co-located for patient convenience and continuity of care. Our eye clinics provide both general and sub-specialist eye care, while our day surgeries can accommodate a range of surgical specialties including ophthalmic surgery, pain management, general surgery, dental, ENT, gastroenterology, colorectal, plastics, urology and dermatology. The Vision Eye Institute Corporate Office is located in Melbourne.

Importantly, we transform 3,050 patient lives each week and are proud of the quality of care we provide.

We undertake certification of our sites to standardise our systems and processes, thereby ensuring the safety and consistency of our patient care. We are also dedicated to continuous quality improvement of our processes, and certification supports this.

Global-Mark provides an excellent service. Our experience has always been positive, and our sites continue to be successfully recertified. The Global-Mark team is supportive and collaborative in their approach. The auditors provide valuable insight and advice, and nothing is ever too much trouble for the customer service team.

We greatly value the audit process. It provides us with an opportunity to showcase our achievements in the delivery of high-quality health services, whilst receiving valuable feedback from the auditor as we strive to improve our quality systems.

Other business benefits resulting from certification include the effective management of daily operations, meeting the requirements of our patients, and being able to identify areas for improvement. We have been able to demonstrate improved clinical outcomes for our consumers, and our staff feel supported in being able to deliver great care that is safe.
